As if we don't have enough on our plate. Here come those darn resolutions with it's demanding deadlines. Can we really accomplish them by the end of every year? Of course, if approached properly.
In order to not fail miserably, we must understand that it's a commitment that an individual makes with the purpose of resolve in the end. Therefore, do not make promises to yourself that you cannot keep.
New Years is meant to be fun and a gratifying moment that you, unlike others, were able to see the last day of a year. So be carefree in your selection.
Do not allow social pressures to make you feel obligated nor to set the bar too high. For example, the Jones family posted an update on Facebook of the purchase of their new home. Now you say, "I need to by a home by the end of the year." Meanwhile, your focus should probably be on fixing your credit first and saving up for the down payment. A resolution should match where YOU are currently in your life.
So listen, here are some things to consider as to avoid a year end disappointment:
1. Make it simple (back to basics)
2. Make it a priority (don't give up)
3. Make it realistic (have a love for it)
See..... that wasn't so hard! Now go on and enjoy the festivities and don't let the resolution run you crazy.
